Hackers attack the EU Parliament website for hours

The director of the European Parliament Institute said,

the European Parliament's website was hit by a denial-of-service attack by pro-Kremlin hackers on Wednesday local time, paralyzing the website for several hours

The council website was up again about two hours after the agency reported the outage.

European Parliament President Roberta Metsola tweeted shortly after the website crashed saying:

The European Parliament is under a sophisticated cyber attack. A pro-Kremlin group has claimed responsibility.Our IT experts are fighting back to protect our systems
