Although by itself this conspiracy hypothesis does not say much about what this technology really is, it did manage to put at least those two characters on the mind and mouth of the majority of the world's population.
Currently, “5G” returns about 1.12 billion results when searching on Google, which shows that this is one of the most important topics for people in recent months. However, although there is still much to learn from this new technology, it seems that evolution cannot be stopped and it is time to talk about a new advance: 6G.
Although each generation of wireless connection lasts around ten years, from its peak until it begins to be transferred by a new one, 6G could be a subject that must be addressed from now on. According to experts, it will not be until 2029 that we begin to see a small iota of what this technology will be, but that it will exist, of course, it will exist.
Of course, as with the 4G connection, 5G meant a speed change unprecedented in the history of wireless connections a couple of years ago. Over the months, more and more devices have adapted to this new technology, creating a fast environment capable of connecting more and more people with each other.
As you might expect, the 6G will not be the exception during this evolutionary process; However, this connection will not only be fast but will also literally detect the environment of the people who use it. With the help of the latest generation radios, technological devices will keep 6G networks nourished with information, achieving an unprecedented transition between the physical and the virtual world.
For example, Google's Project Glass will no longer function as a simple screen that reflects a person's search but will act as the main viewer of reality. Thus, for example, it will no longer be necessary to even ask about a restaurant's menu, because just by looking at the site, virtual reality will play its role and show the list of dishes offered in that place.
The real will be guided, even more, by the virtual, gradually displacing what is known as “normal” and creating a new “reality”.
"You can actually feel the environment, so it should be more powerful," said Tingfang Ji, Qualcomm's senior director of engineering, adding that by functioning as a radar, 6G technology will be able to be matched between a number of unlimited devices that you find on your way.
With all this, not to speak of a higher speed and the way in which it would be achieved would be to ignore one of the important points of all evolution of the internet. For this reason, experts have said that, in order to put aside the range limitation that has meant handling a gigahertz frequency to 5G, with the 6G connection they will seek to go a step further and implement a frequency in terahertz which would be 1,000 times faster than 5G.
In this way, the range dilemma offered by 5G could be solved, exponentially improving the connection capacity, thus achieving the greatest perfection achieved so far in the relationship between the physical and the virtual.
“There will be some fundamental technology that we will want to introduce to overcome that (…) It is something that we are working on and that is very exciting,” Ji concluded.
