Adobe Systems founder passed away


Adobe Systems Incorporated, the graphics, and animation software company, announced on Saturday that Charles Gishke, co-founder of the company, passed away at the age of 81, who helped develop portable document format technology or PDF files. The company statement added that Gishki, who co-founded Adobe in 1982 with John Warnock, a colleague at Xerox, died on Friday.


Gishki was Adobe's director of operations from December 1986 to July 1994 and its president from April 1989 until his retirement in April 2000.


He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors with John Warnock from September 1997 to January 2017, then a member of the Board of Directors until April 2020, and thereafter an honorary member of the Board of Directors.
