Amazon's physical retail vice president announced his departure

Amazon recently lost another executive who controls Amazon's physical store business. On Tuesday, Amazon's physical retail vice president Cameron Jones (Cameron Janes) left the company. He sent a message saying: "I have worked at Amazon for more than 14 years, and today is the last day. The experience and opportunities Amazon provided me can be said to have changed my life."

During his time at Amazon, Jones stayed in a number of positions. For example, he once controlled the Prime Video team and oversaw the Kindle and Fire Phone projects. Before helping Amazon manage its physical retail business, Jones helped the company build a physical bookstore chain.

Recently, Wei Gao, vice president of Amazon's grocery technology, products, and supply chain, also left the company. He joined the London online event startup Hopin in August.
