Apple has announced the news that will delight many Russian users amid tightening measures to combat coronavirus - the Apple Fitness + service is starting to be provided in Russia and 14 more regions.
Initially, the Apple Fitness + home fitness service was introduced a little over a year ago - on September 15, 2020. From December until now, he has been working in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.
Starting November 3, 2021, Apple Fitness + will be available in 15 additional countries: Russia, Austria, Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Spain, Italy, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, France, and Switzerland.
Apple immediately warns that Fitness + will be available in English with subtitles in local languages - Portuguese, English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.
The Apple Fitness + service is provided as a separate subscription (price for Russia - 249 rubles per month or 1490 rubles per year) or as an Apple One Premier subscription ( coming soon in Russia for 995 rubles per month ). When buying an Apple Watch, the user is given three months of free subscription to Apple Fitness + as a gift.
Apple Fitness + requires Apple Watch Series 3 or later with watchOS 7.2. The service is available when Apple Watch is paired with the iPhone 6s and newer Apple smartphones with iOS 14.3 or later.
Also from last Monday, Apple Fitness + supports SharePlay. Share content allows you to practice or meditate together. With SharePlay, Fitness + subscribers can invite up to 32 friends and family to join a group FaceTime workout on an iPhone or iPad. The selected Fitness + workout is streamed synchronized on each participant's device.
During a FaceTime call, users can go to the Fitness app and select a workout or meditation. In this case, all other participants will be visible on the screen. SharePlay is also supported on Apple TV, which means users can follow their workout progress on the big screen while staying in touch with the rest of the participants via FaceTime on their iPhone or iPad.
