Apple Safari Browser Technical Preview Version 153 Released

Apple's Safari browser technical preview version 153 was released today. Apple designed the Safari technical preview version to test features that may be introduced into future versions of Safari. Apple Safari Technical Preview 153 release includes bug fixes and performance improvements for Web Inspector, CSS, JavaScript, Rendering, Media, Screen Capture, WebGL2, Web API, Accessibility, and WebDriver.

The current Safari Technical Preview builds on the Safari 16 update, which includes support for features in macOS Ventura such as live text, passwords, web extension improvements, and more. Unlike the previous version of the Safari browser technical preview, the new version of the Safari browser technical preview is compatible with machines running macOS 13 Ventura, but no longer works with macOS Big Sur.

Apple's purpose in launching the Safari Technology Preview is to gather feedback from developers and users on its browser development process. The Safari Technology Preview can run side-by-side with the existing Safari browser, and while it's designed for developers, it doesn't require a developer account to use.
