Bentley Rear Entertainment: Netflix Comes to Bentayga and Flying Spurs

Bentley has wanted to improve the experience onboard its Bentayga and Flying Spur with a new infotainment system for all those passengers who enjoy traveling in the rear seats of both vehicles. And, from now on, the so-called Bentley Rear Entertainment is available, which allows users to play content from their electronic device on two high-resolution screens located on the back of the front seats.

Time to get comfortable

These are 10.1 inches in size, are removable, and use sharp graphics with a resolution of up to 1920 x 1080 pixels, providing perfect moving images. Both displays are equipped with an HDMI port, which allows the use of multimedia devices such as an Amazon Firestick or a game console, as well as a USB Type-C port from which customers' mobile devices can be conveniently charged. A headphone jack is also provided, as an alternative to the Bluetooth connection.

The sound of the Bentley Rear Entertainment System can be transmitted via Bluetooth to headphones supplied with the car or personal headphones customers. Alternatively, the sound can be reproduced directly through the Naim audio equipment of the two Bentleys, which in the Flying Spur offers a power of 2,200 watts. Additionally, Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates ensure customers are future-proof with the latest technological advances.

Netflix comes pre-installed with Bentley Rear Entertainment.

A mobile salon

Bentley ensures that content can be easily streamed as long as the device and the Bentley Rear Entertainment are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. In this way, passengers can interact with the chosen application, for example, Amazon Prime, Disney +, Youku or Apple TV, in addition to being able to duplicate the content on the system screens. This useful feature mirrors an exact copy of a mobile device's screen, including pop-ups, notifications, and screen rotation.

“Bentley's new rear entertainment system combines ease of use with exquisite design and functionality. It enables rear-seat passengers to access an ever-expanding world of entertainment through an exceptionally immersive system, one that represents the very latest in automotive technology. The system offers digital entertainment services such as multimedia content and streaming from almost all service providers around the world and turns your car into your own exclusive cinema on the go, ” says Ivo Muth, Head of Electrical / Electronics at Bentley Motors.
