CDPR: Cyberpunk 2077 has more than 1 million players playing every day this week

CD Projekt company tweeted on Wednesday that "Cyberpunk 2077" currently has more than 1 million players playing every day.

CD Projekt said, "Every day this week, Cyberpunk 2077 was visited by 1 million players, including new players and returning players." In this regard, CD Projekt expressed its gratitude to fans for their support.

Earlier today, Cyberpunk 2077 peaked at 86,130 on Steam, the highest number since January 2021, a month after the game's launch. The recent surge in player numbers follows the launch of Cyberpunk 2077's 1.6 patch, which adds a variety of new features and improvements, and coincides with a half-price discount on Steam. Of course, the biggest credit may be attributed to the broadcast of the "Cyberpunk: Edge Walker" spin-off animation "Cyberpunk 2077", which has received a lot of praise. As you can see from the game's recent Steam reviews, many people decided to return to Night City to beat Adam Hammer after watching Trigger's animation.

Cyberpunk 2077 was highly anticipated, but there were major issues at launch, resulting in refunds to players and even the game being pulled from the PlayStation Store. After six months of optimization, the game returned to the Sony PlayStation Store in June 2021, when CD Projekt said it believed Cyberpunk 2077 had performed at a "satisfactory" level.

CD Projekt claimed in April that Cyberpunk 2077 had sold more than 18 million copies, compared with 13 million in the game's launch month.

Regarding the growing number of players, Paweł Sasko, the mission director of Cyberpunk 2077, said: "Thank you very much for the second chance everyone has given."

The first DLC of “Cyberpunk 2077”, “Phantom Freedom”, was announced in early September and will land on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X / S and Stadia in 2023.
