China interviewed 11 platforms including Didi Chuxing, T3 Travel, and AutoNavi

According to the Chinese Ministry of Transport, today, the Office of the Inter-ministerial Joint Conference on the Coordination and Supervision of New Transportation Formats has issued a review on Didi Chuxing, T3 Travel, AutoNavi, Cao Cao Travel, Shouqi Car-hailing, and Meituan Taxi. 11 platform companies such as Wanshun Taxi, Xiangdao Travel, Ruqi Travel, Sunshine Travel, and Dida Travel conducted reminder interviews.

Officials said that after reviewing industry monitoring, calls and letters from the masses, and media reports, it was found that some platform companies have problems such as the inadequate implementation of corporate main responsibility, infringement of the legitimate rights and interests of employees and passengers, prominent illegal operations, and hidden security and stability risks. The Office of the Inter-ministerial Joint Conference on the Coordination and Supervision of New Transportation Formats has put forward the following four requirements for the platform to be interviewed:

First, it is necessary to conduct an in-depth investigation and rectification of the potential stability risks of various platform companies, and timely prevent and resolve them to ensure the stability of the industry.

The second is to implement the requirements of "Sunshine Action" for new transportation business platform enterprises, improve the openness and transparency of business strategies, improve the customer service system, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of employees and consumers.

The third is to operate in strict accordance with relevant regulations, conduct business operations in compliance with laws and regulations, strictly control access customs, and remove non-compliant vehicles and personnel. Aggregation platforms should ensure that the connected car-hailing platforms comply with relevant regulations, and urge connected car-hailing platform companies to strengthen vehicle and personnel management. In the event of a security incident, the aggregation platform company shall perform the responsibility of paying in advance in accordance with the law and jointly handling the accident with the car-hailing platform company involved.

Fourth, it is necessary to strengthen operational safety management, enhance safety production capacity, improve the emergency response mechanism for safety accidents, and strengthen driver management and education and training.
