The National Development and Reform Commission held a special press conference today. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China's industrial structure optimization and upgrading have achieved remarkable results, energy green and low-carbon transformation have achieved remarkable results, and energy and resource utilization efficiency Greatly improved.

According to Liu Dechun, director of the Department of Environment and Resources of the National Development and Reform Commission, in 2021, high-tech manufacturing will account for 15.1% of the added value of industries above the designated size, an increase of 5.7 percentage points over 2012; The proportion reached 17.25%; the new energy industry is the world leader, providing more than 70% of photovoltaic modules for the global market; the proportion of green buildings in the new urban construction area increased to 84%. In the first eight months of 2022, the production and sales of new energy vehicles will reach 3.97 million and 3.86 million, respectively, and the number of vehicles will reach 10.99 million, accounting for about half of the world.

For the first time, the new energy power generation exceeded 1 trillion kilowatt-hours. At present, the installed capacity of renewable energy in China has exceeded 1.1 billion kilowatts, and the installed capacity of hydropower, wind power, solar power, and biomass power generation ranks first in the world.

In the past ten years, the state has vigorously promoted energy conservation, emission reduction, and resource conservation, and intensive recycling, which has greatly improved my country's energy and resource utilization efficiency. Compared with 2012, in 2021, my country's energy consumption per unit of GDP will drop by 26.4%, carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP will drop by 34.4%, water consumption per unit of GDP will drop by 45%, and the output rate of major resources will increase by about 58%.
