For several weeks now, the community around Cyberpunk 2077 has been looking forward to patch 1.3, which some say should bring the most changes and improvements so far. The reason for this expectation is mainly speculation, which says that the update should weigh several tens of GB. Unfortunately, we don't have any official information available at this time to refute or confirm the speculation about the size of the patch, instead, we have the first details about the specific changes. And they suggest that no matter the size, the Cyberpunk 2077 modifications might not be as much as some expect .
Patch 1.3 was finally discussed by the developers from the CD Projekt RED studio, who, as usual, introduced some changes in the form of N54 News news. They combine footage showing selected changes, commentary by RED Project CD staff, and commentary by fictional reporters and crowds of companies or businesses in Night City. In the past, the most significant innovations coming with the relevant updates were presented in this way, but the problem is that this time the presented modifications will probably not just lift someone out of the chair.
Nevertheless, these are things that will not be detrimental, as evidenced, for example, by the improvement of the GPS system. Thanks to it, you will see more on the minimap when traveling around the city, thanks to a certain delay in the view that the minimap offers. The creators also intend to put a stop to jokes about players who chose the wrong one ... let's say a partner during the Automatic Love quest at the Cloud Club.
At some point, the club algorithm assigns you two suitable people - Skye (woman) and Angela (man). Subsequently, you can take a brief look at both in a special window, but this window has disappeared relatively quickly so far. And so it happened that some players did not have time to remember who is who, in the following dialogue they chose Angela because they assumed that a woman was hiding under the angelic name, and ended up in a booth with a man. The developers have solved this extremely important problem simply by modifying the relevant code, thus achieving a state where the window showing Skye and Angela stays on the cognition screen longer.
Quite possibly the most important novelty is a function that allows you to reset already unlocked perks. You will find this option on the character's screen, it will always cost you something, but at the same time, it will allow you to experiment more freely with perks. If you simply don't like something you unlock, you can simply undo your choices and divide the perk points differently. However, it must be said that this novelty has no effect on the values of attributes such as body, technical fitness or intelligence, and related points. Only for perks that you unlock within the trees that are hidden under each attribute.
If the developers from the RED Project CD felt the need to devote a separate space to these innovations in connection with patch 1.3, the question arises as to what else the long-awaited update can bring. Perhaps we will learn something new during tomorrow's live broadcast, which will start at 18:00 on our time on the studio channel at Twitch. However, we already know that during the broadcast we will finally hear something new about the first free DLCs.
Hopefully, during the transfer, the creators will also reveal the specific release date of the patch, as well as its final size on all platforms. For now, we have a promise to publish a complete list of changes soon. In any case, we advise in the issue of patch 1.3 for Cyberpunk 2077 to significantly reduce any expectations. After all, it's better not to wait for anything and then rejoice in a possible surprise than to expect an update that will fundamentally change the whole game, and then solve further disappointments. Currently, it is most likely that the most important news will not arrive until the first free additional content, which we should learn more about tomorrow.
