Roscosmos has officially invited Elon Musk, Richard Branson, and Jeff Bezos to Baikonur to watch the launch of the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft.
The launch is scheduled for October 5, and the peculiarity of the mission is that actress Yulia Peresild and director Klim Shipenko will also go to the ISS on this very ship. They will be filming the space station for a movie tentatively titled Challenge. The film crew will spend 12 days on the ISS, during which they need to shoot material for 40 minutes of screen time. And this will be the first filming in space.
Today I am sending invitations to Mr. Elon Musk, whom we respect in Russia. Of course, we would like to invite Mr. Branson, Mr. Bezos. If this wonderful trinity of space enthusiasts is at Baikonur at the time of launching our project and our spacecraft, it seems to me that this will emphasize that space is a unique environment where unique people meet, and who, despite all the problems that exist between countries, all equally find the opportunity to be together
The film "Challenge" will be part of a scientific and educational project. In addition to this tape itself, a series of documentaries about space and the space industry in Russia will also be shot for the project.
