Drone Box launching platform for drones launched in Dubai

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced today, Wednesday, the launch of the Drone Box platform to launch drones in the Emirate of Dubai, which aims to reduce the response time for criminal and traffic reports from (4.4 minutes) to one minute.


Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid wrote, through the Twitter account, through a series of tweets, in which he said: "During my visit today to the headquarters of the Dubai Police General Command, the Drone Box platform was launched today, which is platforms for launching drones distributed in the emirate to reduce The response time for criminal and traffic reports is from (4.4 minutes) to only one minute.. The service will be launched during the next Expo, God willing.”


He added: "I also reviewed, during my visit today, the artificial intelligence systems that distribute security patrols in Dubai according to economic and tourism importance without human intervention...I was briefed on the "Eyoon" project for smart technology cameras... Dubai is monitored by more than 300,000 cameras around the clock. It is one of the safest cities in the world.”


“Expo 2020” aims to introduce the world to the ability of the global event and its contribution to unifying global efforts towards achieving a better future for people in all fields according to the new variables in light of the outbreak of the emerging “ Corona ” virus crisis (Covid-19), which has changed the ways and mechanisms of the world’s dealing with crises. emergency, in addition to shedding more light on the great privileges that will accrue to countries as a result of their participation at various levels.


It is expected that the number of visitors to the "Expo" will reach about 25 million visitors, 70% of whom are from outside the Emirates, while the private aviation building in Dubai South is preparing to receive about 20,000 air traffic during the exhibition period.


Its tickets will go on sale on July 18, with 3 types of tickets being offered. A one-day ticket costs $26 (95 dirhams), a month ticket is $53 (195 dirhams), and a six-month ticket costs $135 (497 dirhams).


It is noteworthy that Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia region, and its activities will be held between October 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022, with the participation of more than 200 entities.
