From January to August 2022, China will account for 68% of the world's new energy vehicles

As announced yesterday by Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the Passenger Federation, the sales of generalized new energy vehicles between January and August 2022 will reach 8.54 million units, with 2.42 million units of hybrid vehicles accounting for 24%. Among them, the world's new energy passenger vehicles have a strong trend, reaching 5.91 million units from January to August 2022, a year-on-year increase of 70%; sales in August were 900,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 72%.


Cui Dongshu pointed out that from January to August 2022, China's new energy passenger vehicles will account for 68% of the world's new energy, which is mainly due to the strong demand for new energy in China, while the production and sales of traditional and new energy vehicles in Europe are relatively low. China's development is very strong.


According to data from the China Automobile Association, in August, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 691,000 and 666,000 respectively, and the monthly production and sales reached a new record high, with production and sales increasing by 1.2 times and 1 time year-on-year respectively. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 536,000 and 522,000, an increase of 1.1 times and 92.9% year-on-year, respectively; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 155,000 and 144,000, an increase of 1.7 times and 1.6 times, respectively; The production and sales of fuel cell vehicles were 97 and 255, up 1.4 times and 5.7 times year-on-year respectively.


From January to August, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 3.97 million and 3.86 million respectively, a year-on-year increase of 1.2 times and 1.1 times respectively. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 3.11 million units and 3.04 million units, an increase of 1 time year-on-year; the production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 857,000 units and 818,000 units, an increase of 1.9 times and 1.7 times year-on-year respectively; fuel cell vehicles Both production and sales were completed at 2,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 2 times and 1.6 times respectively.
