The App Store has 9 billion downloads at the time of Q3 2020, with 2.6 billion of them being gaming downloads.

The report suggests that South Korea and India are the major contributors to Apple's earnings, with a 20% increase in downloads in Q3 2020. However, the US and Japan remained the top two downloads for all apps in Q3 2020.

In contrast, the Play Store had 11 billion downloads in Q3 2020, accounting for 80% of Google's total app income. The average weekly downloads in mobile games across the app stores hovered around 1 billion for Q2 2020, an increase of 15% compared to the previous year. The quarter also saw 33 billion apps downloaded, with over 180 billion hours of app users across the world.
