Google Chrome releases 107 emergency updates

In order to fix security vulnerabilities that have been exploited by hackers, Google released an emergency update to version 107 of the Chrome browser. Other Chromium-based browsers are expected to follow in the near future.

Google has released emergency updates for Chrome Stable, Chrome Extended Stable, and Chrome on Android. The upgraded version number of the Chrome Stable version on Mac and Linux is 107.0.5304.121, while the version number of the Chrome Stable version on Windows is 107.0.5304.121/.122; Chrome Extended Stable version is upgraded to 106.0.5249.199; Chrome browser on Android Upgraded to 107.0.5304.141.


Desktop Google Chrome users can manually upgrade by visiting chrome://settings/help or selecting Chrome Menu > Help > About Google Chrome.


This high-risk vulnerability is numbered CVE-2022-4135, which is a GPU heap buffer overflow problem. Its severity level is "High", just below the highest level of critical. Google said that there is already evidence that hackers exploit this vulnerability to launch attacks, and strongly recommends that users update their Chrome browser immediately to avoid potential risks.
