Google Photos is testing a new feature that will make finding photos and videos easier. While searching for images within the app, users will be able to filter the search by choosing to show results including favorites, videos, selfies, collages, cartoons, movies, creations, screenshots, archived photos, and more.
And according to Android Police reports, the new photo filtering feature appears to be under testing, as the filtering option is not visible on any device at this time. It also appears that the feature is not specific to a specific version of the Google Photos app, which indicates that it may be tested on the server with some accounts.
The Android Police report also indicates that you can always filter search results when searching for a person on the app by typing the query into the Google Photos search box.
