Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Xbox Series X | S Gets Ray Tracing And Other Improvements


 

Ninja Theory's Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is now officially available for Xbox Series X | S consoles, with new visuals, chapter selection, and multiple performance modes thanks to a free update.


As part of the update, texture resolution, particle quality, draw distance, and level of detail have been improved on new consoles. For the first time, players will also be able to select a chapter from the campaign and replay an interesting location. In addition, ray tracing was introduced.


Xbox Series X | S owners now choose three game modes: Performance, Resolution, and Enriched Quality (Performance, Resolution, and Enriched). On the Xbox Series X, performance mode will mean no ray tracing, dynamic resolution up to 1080p, and the game will run at 120 fps. The Resolution setting also disables ray tracing but runs the game in 4K dynamic resolution at 60 fps. The latter mode enables ray tracing and a 4K dynamic resolution display at 30 fps.


On Xbox Series S in the first mode, the game runs without ray tracing at 1080p and 60 fps. The second also has no tracing, and the resolution is 1440p at 30 fps. In the latter mode, there is ray tracing, the resolution is 1080p at 30 fps.


This Free Update For Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice For Xbox Series X | S was developed with the support of QLOC. Ninja Theory is currently developing Senua's Saga: Hellblade II exclusively for the Xbox.


Also, the update will be released on PC, but will not appear on the PlayStation 5.
