How can you download your Google photos free?

Starting next month, Google will stop offering unlimited free storage space in the Google Photos service, and from now on, all photos and videos uploaded will be counted within the free 15 GB cloud storage space provided by the search engine The giant is free with every Google account.

Despite this, Google confirmed that the photos and videos uploaded before June 1, 2021, will not be part of the storage capacity of 15 GB, so, if you are wondering about how to download all the images and videos saved on Google Photos, the following steps can be followed:

  • Go to Google Takeout from any browser on your computer and log in with your Google account credentials.

  • Now, click on the Uncheck all checkbox then scroll down and choose the Google Photos option.

  • Here, select the format in which you want to download/export the data from Google Images.

  • You will also get the option to select specific albums to export by clicking on the All embedded photo albums option.

  • Now, scroll down and click the Next Step button. Under the Delivery method option, choose the Email download link and under the Frequency section, choose Export once.

  • Finally, choose the zip option and specify the download size. Here you can choose from 2GB to 50GB, and Google Photos will automatically split the download package if you exceed the specified limit according to the package size.

  • Now, click on the Create Export button.
