How to customize swipe gestures on the Gmail app?

Most users receive a huge number of emails every day, not all of them are relevant to them, so when a user checks his inbox after every few hours, he needs to delete unnecessary emails or archive them quickly.

Thankfully, Gmail's swipe gestures on its mobile apps allow you to scroll through emails in no time.

Here's how you can use it?

  • Open the Gmail app on your iOS or Android device.

  • Head to Settings, then Courier Procedures.

  • You can choose archive, basket actions, mark as read/unread, snooze, move to, or none for swipe gestures.

  • Some prefer to archive for left swipe and e-mail move to the container for right swipe. Both procedures help get rid of irrelevant emails quickly.

  • These gestures are also useful if you want to organize your email better and may help you get to your inbox zero.
