Instagram decided to introduce new tools and features, due to what football players are exposed to in the recent period. These new features and tools on Instagram will be able to combat hate by restricting comments on popular posts, to protect users from racist and sexist harassment.

The new limits feature on Instagram, available from today, will allow all users to hide comments and direct message requests from users, who either do not follow them or have recently started following them.

The Instagram application will also issue an alert and warning, to stop publishing and ban the account, if the person posts offensive content, instead of waiting for the violation to be repeated as was the case before.

Instagram Head Adam Mosseri said in an official post, creators are also telling us they don't want to stop comments and messaging completely. They still want to listen to their community and build those relationships, but limits allow you to listen to your old followers while restricting contact from people who might only come to your account to target you.

And Instagram developed these features and tools, after the racist abuse of football players in the English national team, which carried many negative comments due to their exit from the European Nations Championship, and their loss of the title to Italy.
