Huawei and the BAIC Group have unveiled the first petrol-powered SUV with a computer system running the HarmonyOS operating system. This is the first time that HarmonyOS has received a non-hybrid or electric vehicle.
BAIC has announced a car with the slogan "Everything is interconnected, wisdom and enlightenment". Sources confirm that this vehicle will be equipped with other Huawei-exclusive technologies such as the Kirin single-chip system, Huawei HiLink solution, and more.
It is known that the BAIC Group plans to release the Beijing X5 and Beijing X7 Plus models, with the first model being equipped with an L2 + self-driving system. There are no other details about their characteristics yet.
In April of this year, Huawei and the BAIC Group jointly launched the ArcFox Alpha S Smart car series, consisting of four models. This entire series includes Huawei's fast charging technology, HarmonyOS operating system, Kirin 990A single-chip system, and autonomous driving system with 9 cameras and 9 radars.
In early June, Huawei introduced HarmonyOS 2.0 for smartphones, which has already been installed over 50 million times. The company plans to bring the number of installations to 360 million by the end of the year.
