It was an off-road fire truck, now it's a beautiful apartment building!

After a long time, we have a motorhome that everyone must enjoy. It doesn't matter if you prefer luxury or spartan equipment. It is not a problem with him to go to Dakar or just to Croatia. And right now it's for sale!

The basis is a 2005 Ford E-450 with a 6.0-liter diesel engine. It was originally a large ambulance, but then Quigley, a supplier of spare parts and car modifiers, converted it to 4x4, and the car was used by volunteer firefighters somewhere in Midwest in the USA. It was decommissioned in 2016, even though it had driven only 12,000 miles. And the new owner was a man who owns a small furniture factory and enjoys the conversion of motor homes. You can find the ad on and, among other things, you will learn that the car took more than a year to build. Anyway, you can see it in that car.

The list of adjustments and tweaks is too long for us to list it in its entirety, and so only in passing. The entire interior was equipped with new appliances and is finished in a neutral gray-white design. The carpets on the floor have been replaced by an easy-to-clean rubber mat, the floor is of course insulated, as well as the roof and sides of the car. The car has a 700-watt generator, roof solar panels, and lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 400 Ah.

American car experts may have noticed that the mask of the car comes from a newer version of the Econoline from 2018, everyone must have registered an aluminum ladder, a spare tire holder, fuel canister holders, and a retractable awning. The engine has been overhauled and has increased power, the shock absorbers are also new and the best from the specialized company FOX. The list is completed by complete LED lighting and robust Goodyear Wrangler tires.

The required amount of 149,900 USD is some 3.3 million crowns, but, you have to add customs duties and VAT if you mean it. And then there is not enough, even if you have a really unique caravan. But what to take as inspiration, for example?
