Microsoft 365 services and apps no longer support Internet Explorer 11

Microsoft continues to systematically remove the legacy of Internet Explorer. Since yesterday, August 17, Microsoft 365 apps and services have stopped supporting Internet Explorer 11.

Microsoft has updated a page to clarify the browser phase-out. The company notes that starting August 17, Microsoft 365 apps in Internet Explorer 11 may experience poor performance, or users may not be able to connect to those apps and services at all.

Support from Microsoft is also ending, and new features are not worth waiting for. The functionality will gradually be cut until applications and services are permanently disabled.

However, some services will continue to work. That way, Outlook Web App remains available and the "Open with Explorer" and "View in Explorer" features continue to work.
