The company announced that it is making Microsoft 365 more expensive for commercial customers. Microsoft explains that it has added many new features over the past ten years without raising prices. These include communication and collaboration, security and compliance, and artificial intelligence and automation. 24 apps were also featured in various Microsoft 365 offerings.
Thus, Microsoft believes it is time to raise the price for its 300 million commercial users. Starting March 1, 2022, Microsoft 365 subscription pricing will change as follows:
Microsoft 365 Business Basic: $ 5 to $ 6 per user
Microsoft 365 Business Premium: $ 20 to $ 22
Office 365 E1: $ 8 to $ 10
Office 365 E3: $ 20 to $ 23
Office 365 E5: $ 35 to $ 38
Microsoft 365 E3: $ 32 to $ 36
Microsoft says these new prices will apply globally. It is important to note that this change will not affect the consumer and educational versions.
