Microsoft Teams adds a Payments feature this month

According to the notice issued by the Microsoft 365 roadmap page in September this year, the Microsoft Teams application will add the payments function this month. However, the scope of application of this function is still very narrow in the initial stage of launch.

Microsoft stated that although Microsoft Teams on the web, mobile (Android and iOS), and desktop (Mac and PC) can get this payment function, it is limited to users in the United States and Canada in the initial stage.

Regarding the payment function, Microsoft explained,

After connecting the third-party service to realize the payment function, you can request payment during the Teams meeting, allowing customers to pay you with just a few clicks.

Other features that Microsoft announced will be launched this month include expanding the selection of emojis in Teams to 800, delayed delivery of chat messages, additional approval list filters, and more. In December, a number of other features and improvements will arrive on the messaging platform, including the long-awaited "Delete Chat" option to permanently delete your entire conversation, and the "@mention" feature to instantly add new participants to a chat.
