Microsoft Update Windows 11 22621.607 (KB5017389) Release Preview

Microsoft today announced the release of Windows 11 Build 22621.607 (KB5017389) version Release Preview for Win11 22H2 preview members. This update does not have any new features but includes a large number of bug fixes.

  • Fixed an issue that caused problems with some apps that were not signed through the Microsoft Store. You must reinstall these applications after upgrading the operating system.

  • Fixed an issue that caused Microsoft Store updates to fail.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented users from logging into various Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Teams, and more.

  • Updated Chilean daylight saving time start date. It starts on September 11, 2022, instead of September 4, 2022, as previously shown.

  • Fixed an issue affecting the Windows Search service. This can cause the service's indexing progress to slow down.

  • Fixed an issue affecting some processors. This problem occurs when you turn on Hyper-V and Kernel Direct Memory Access (DMA) protection.

  • Fixed an issue affecting network static IPs. This issue resulted in inconsistent configuration of static IPs. Therefore, NetworkAdapterConfiguration() will occasionally fail.

  • Fixed an issue affecting Task Manager. It stops working when you switch between light and dark modes or change the accent color.

  • Fixed an issue affecting three Kanji fonts. When you format these characters as bold, the width is actually wrong.

  • Fixed an issue affecting graphics drivers using d3d9on12.dll.

  • Reduced the power used by Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol when in sleep mode on some devices.

  • Fixed an issue affecting URLs generated by JavaScript. URLs. When you add these URLs to the Favorites menu in IE mode, these URLs don't work as expected.

  • Fixed an issue that would cause IE Mode tabs to reload in sessions.

  • Fixed an issue affecting window.open in IE mode.

  • Fixed an issue that successfully opened a browser window to display PDF files in IE mode. This problem will cause subsequent prompts to fail when you browse other IE-mode sites in the same window.

  • Fixed an issue with duplicate creation of print jobs. For this reason, the original print queue does not work properly.

  • Fixed an issue affecting the Miracast UI. When you cast to a device that uses DeviceObjectType:Aep, it sometimes shuts down prematurely.

  • Added more dynamic Widget content to your taskbar, complete with notification badges. When you open the Widgets board, a banner appears at the top of the board. It provides more information on what triggers the notification badge.

  • Fixed an issue affecting the SharedPC Account Manager. This issue prevented it from deleting some accounts during cleanup.

  • Fixed an issue that caused LogonUI.exe to stop working. Because of this issue, you cannot unlock the screen to view the certificate screen.

  • Fixed an issue affecting dual SIM calls. If you select No SIM card on your phone and make a call, the Dual SIM feature will not work properly.

  • Fixed an issue affecting FindNextFileNameW() which could cause a memory leak.

  • Fixed an issue affecting Robocopy. Robocopy fails to set files to correct modification time when using /IS

  • Fixed an issue affecting cldflt.sys. An error occurs when it is used with Microsoft OneDrive.

  • Fixed an issue affecting roaming user profiles. Some of your settings cannot be restored after you log in or out.

  • Fixed an issue affecting LanmanWorkstation services. When you mount a network drive it causes a memory leak.
