Microsoft Windows 11 2022 update causes problems with Nvidia graphics cards

Microsoft has released the Windows 11 2022 update (version 22H2) to the public, bringing some new functions and features. A few days before that, some users received the 2022 feature update early on with their new devices. These devices come with Windows 11 Build 22621.521 (KB5017321), which is indeed the 22H2 update confirmed by Microsoft later.

However, as is usually the case, the new update is not without its problems. The update process failed for many users with the error code "0x800f0806". After a large number of users managed to update, devices with Nvidia graphics cards in their systems had other issues. There have been reports of erratic and stuttering game frame rates, and lower than typical CPU usage in games. Users on Reddit and Microsoft forums expressed similar sentiments.

The latest development is that Nvidia has confirmed that it is investigating the matter. Manuel Guzman of the company's software QA has asked affected users to provide more feedback on a Reddit thread.
