New mechanics in The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles

The collection of two spin-offs from the Ace Attorney series, which were originally intended only for the Japanese market, was announced several months ago. But Capcom finally showed longer gameplay footage at its E3 presentation.

I would like to remind you that both titles ( The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve ) take place in Japan and England at the end of the 19th century, long before the events of the main series Ace Attorney. The main character is Ryunosuke Naruhodo, who is the ancestor of Phoenix Wright. The young lawyer will also be accompanied by a famous detective, who, however, has a slightly modified name due to licensing problems - Herlock Sholmes.

The footage from the game showed mainly two new mechanics that did not appear in other works. The first is deduction, the well-known and very useful ability of Detective Sholmes. However, Herlock is not infallible, our task will be to find clues and use them to correct his mistakes. Another new feature is mass interrogation. In addition to the judge, we will also find members of the jury in these games. They will give us arguments as to why they think the person is guilty and our task will be to convince them otherwise.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will be released on July 27 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
