Rover Perseverance is preparing to collect samples of Martian rocks

Rover Perseverance will soon begin collecting samples of Martian rocks. These should later be sent to Earth, where scientists will look for traces of microbial life.

I am preparing to collect Martian samples in search of ancient microbial life. As part of this process, I tested the core system on my robotic arm to make sure it was working properly before drilling into some interesting rocks around me - NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover Twitter account

The research carried out by the rover is thus slowly entering a new phase. Unfortunately, we will have to wait for some time for the first results, because Perseverance has to gradually test several other components.

According to Jessica Samuels of NASA, these preparations cannot be rushed.

Samuels said, we must ensure that we can safely place the robotic arm on the surface of Mars.
