Russian Post announced the launch of a new function on the website and in the iOS application - the recipient can now pay for the delivery of the parcel.
From March 2021, the new service for individuals began to work exclusively in the mobile application for Android. Now payment for delivery at the expense of the recipient has become available on the Russian Post website and in the application for iPhone and iPad.
It is noted that sellers of goods in social networks (44.5%) and on platforms with private ads (38%) most often use the new service. The service is also relevant for those who just want to send a package to relatives or friends, but for some reason cannot pay for the delivery.
You can use the service when placing an order through the Russian Post mobile application or on the pochta.ru website. When choosing a payment method, the sender needs to indicate what the recipient is paying, and at the final stage of payment, share with him a link to online payment. The recipient follows it, registers or logs in to the mobile application or personal account on the pochta.ru website, makes a payment, and receives a notification.
If the sender for some reason does not transfer the parcel paid by the recipient to the post office within the next 72 hours, the money for delivery will be returned to the recipient's card.
