Scientists have proposed to detect gas leaks using drones

An international team of researchers announced the creation of the first autonomous drone squad that can detect gas leaks.

According to experts, nano-quadcopters are four-propeller drones. The development will become especially relevant in the military industry.

The scientists explained that drones work well without human control in difficult areas where GPS is missing. The technology can be used in situations where chemical weapons pose a danger to humans.

The drones can even keep in touch with each other. When one detects a gas leak or other potential threat, the information is passed on to the others, the researchers added.

The artificial rain-making technology was previously successfully tested in the UAE. Special drones also helped to control the weather.
