Shenzhen will begin to build the world's first 5G-led intelligent networked transportation test base

With the continuous development of intelligent networked vehicles, there are more and more intelligent networked transportation test projects in China. According to a report on Shenzhen’s official Weibo account, recently, the second phase of the main area civil works in the planning of the Shenzhen Intelligent Networked Transportation Test Platform in Pingshan District, Shenzhen was officially launched.

According to reports, the project is expected to be completed and put into use in 2023. At the same time, the project will build the world's first three-dimensional future urban transportation system and a 5G-led intelligent networked transportation test base. The "Shenzhen Action Plan for Cultivating and Developing Intelligent Connected Automobile Industry Clusters (2022-2025)" released this year clearly states that the intelligent networked automobile industry will be laid out in Pingshan District, Nanshan District, and Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone, among which Pingshan District It has both R&D design and manufacturing functions.

After completion, the demonstration platform will realize the country's first 5G scenario-based and virtual city-based cloud simulation, and will be the first in the world to implement advanced prediction technology for real-time prediction of driving trajectories, complete the V2X (vehicle wireless communication) interconnection application demonstration activity, and become an intelligent network. The key supporting infrastructure for the development of the automotive industry.

On August 23, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Transportation announced on its official Weibo that at present, Shenzhen has opened a total of about 201.37 kilometers of test roads for intelligent networked vehicles, and 187 test roads have been opened. Among them, the first batch of open roads is 124 kilometers, with 105 open roads, and the second batch of 20.69 kilometers, with 29 open roads.
