Sichuan fully launches the construction of a national integrated computing power network

The 2022 Tianfu Digital Economy Summit opened in Chengdu today. At the opening ceremony, Sichuan announced the full launch of the construction of the national integrated computing power network Chengdu-Chongqing National Hub Node (Sichuan).


In May 2021, four departments including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Central Network Information Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the National Energy Administration issued the Implementation Plan for the Computing Power Hub of the National Integrated Big Data Center Collaborative Innovation System, clearly proposing the layout and construction of eight national integrated computing power Network national hub nodes, start the implementation of the "East Counting West Counting project, and build a national computing power network system.


In February of this year, the four departments launched the East Counts West project and started the construction of national computing hubs in 8 places including Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Chengdu-Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Gansu, and Ningxia. , the establishment of 10 national data center clusters officially opened the curtain of building a national integrated big data center system.


The National Integrated Computing Power Network Chengdu-Chongqing National Hub Node (Sichuan) Implementation Plan proposes that by 2025, the Tianfu data center cluster starting area will be fully established. By 2030, computing power and efficiency will reach the national advanced level and become the core hub of the national East Counting West project.


The national hub node of the national integrated computing power network is the backbone connection point of China's computing power network. Through the national hub nodes, coordinate the construction and layout of data centers, guide the moderate gathering of large-scale data centers, and form data center clusters. Around the cluster, adjust and optimize the network structure, and strengthen supporting guarantees in terms of water, electricity, and energy consumption indicators. Between clusters, establish a high-speed data center direct connection network, implement the "East Counting and West Computing" project, support large-scale computing power scheduling, and build a new data flow-oriented computing power network pattern.
