Tesla launched a carbon-ceramic brake kit for Model S Plaid

Tesla has launched the first brand new track preparation accessory kit for Model S Plaid- a carbon-ceramic brake kit worth 20,000 US dollars (approximately 127,800 yuan).

Currently, Model S Plaid has been on the market for half a year, and its performance has left a deep impression on many people. Except for the limited production of Rimac Nevera, which is valued at USD 1 million (approximately RMB 6.39 million), it is the fastest mass-produced car on the market, with an acceleration time of 1.9 seconds from 0 to 60 miles (approximately 96.56 km) per hour.

In September of this year, Tesla’s new Model S Plaid broke the record for the fastest lap time of an electric car on the Nurburgring circuit without any modification.

Electrek said that Tesla is expected to release a track kit, some of which were found to be testing last year. It seems that Tesla is releasing the first part of the track-specific Model S Plaid carbon-ceramic brake kit.

Tesla said: "The Model S Plaid Carbon Ceramic Brake Kit is designed for the ultimate track experience. It is a complete hardware kit that can provide maximum and repeatable braking force during high-performance driving."

Tesla pointed out that the brake kit is only suitable for 21-inch spider wheels and will be available in the "mid-2022" period.
