The pandemic has disrupted many of the automakers' plans to present and manufacture new vehicles. Stellantis planned to reveal all the details about the 2022 Grand Cherokee in August at the 2021 New York International Auto Show, including details about the Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid, but the show was canceled due to the coronavirus.

Stellantis teased the imminent announcement of the Grand Cherokee 4xe during the EV Summit, but the company has now set an official presentation date. On September 29, the company will show the car, as well as talk about prices.

The car is expected to receive a 4xe powertrain from Wrangler, as well as a plug-in hybrid powertrain with 375 hp. with a torque of 637 Nm. Most likely, Jeep will continue to offer the familiar V6 and V8 engines for the new Grand Cherokee.
