The PlayStation 5 will have more exclusive titles than previous generations

PlayStation boss Jim Ryan told Nikkei magazine (translated by VGC magazine ) that the company is currently investing in exclusive PlayStation 5 titles, and could use other opportunities and acquisitions to strengthen its own development capabilities.

Ryan said, we have invested quietly but consistently in high-quality games for the PlayStation, ensuring that the PS5 generation has more specialized software than ever before.

In the near future, Sony plans to release several of its exclusive titles. Returnal from Housemarque will be released on April 30, and then Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart from Insomniac Games in June. Of course, the eyes of the fans are also fixed on the game Horizon Forbidden West, which is to be released at the end of this year.

Ryan also commented on the current offer of PlayStation 5 consoles on the market, claiming that Sony had asked the manufacturer to increase production. There are several reasons why it was difficult to get a PlayStation 5. The offer was very complicated due to coronavirus and we had to limit distribution to the online format only. Supply and demand for semiconductors is also tense worldwide. We are asking our suppliers to allow us to increase the production that will flow into the market this year.
