The latest reports confirmed that TSMC is taking rapid steps in the process of manufacturing chips with an accuracy of 4 nm, and the company continues to develop the 3 nm process according to its schedule.
Leaks that came from internal sources in TSMC revealed that the company is preparing for the trial production of the distinguished chips with a manufacturing accuracy of 4 nm in the third quarter of this year, that is, before the previously scheduled date in the fourth quarter of 2021.
On the other hand, TSMC is preparing for mass production for a 3-nm manufacturing process in 2022. The company also recently issued statements about the new N5A technology that is based on 5-nanometer manufacturing accuracy.
TSMC aims with the new N5A technology to reach more efficient solutions to enhance the advantages of artificial intelligence provided in the automotive industry while transforming the dashboard in cars into an integrated digital experience.
Also, the N5A technology is scheduled to comply with the AEC-Q100 Grade 2 standards in automotive production, and this technology will be launched in the third quarter of 2022.
