Twitter asks users not to prevent it from being tracked

Twitter joined Facebook in asking users not to prevent it from tracking their online activity after updating the iPhone's operating system to iOS 14.5, which allows users to prevent any application from trying to track its users' activity on the Internet.

Social media today said that Twitter shows a message to users of its iPhone application to tell them they need to allow it to track their data and why they should allow it to do so, and the Twitter message explains to the user that allowing them to track his data will contribute to making him see ads more relevant to him.

Facebook has sent a message to iPhone users asking them to allow it to track their internet activity in order to be able to target ads to them according to their interests so that it does not have to make its service paid instead of offering it for free if it loses its income from targeted ads.
