UK Post starts selling cryptocurrency

This week, the UK Post Office will start offering users the option to buy cryptocurrency. People who use the EasyID app will be able to buy cryptocurrency using vouchers from the Swarm Markets decentralized crypto exchange. Vouchers can be redeemed for Bitcoin or Ethereum on the Swarm platform.

EasyID was launched by the UK Post Office in August to help users securely verify their age, identity, and other sensitive information and access services on other platforms.

In 2019, the Liechtenstein Postal Service began trading bitcoin. When buying digital coins, residents of the European republic receive a physical wallet with encryption keys. In 2020, sales of the first cryptocurrency started in more than 3.5 thousand post offices in Australia.
