Volkswagen ID.Buzz has opened reservations in the United Kingdom, with a starting price of 57,115 pounds (about 456,900 yuan). It is reported that Volkswagen's ID.Buzz is based on the MEB (Modular Electric Drive) platform and debuted at the Detroit Auto Show in 2017. It is the fourth all-electric model of Volkswagen's pure electric "ID" model series. Launched the ID.3 hatchback, ID.4 SUV and the new ID.5 coupe SUV.
ID.Buzz is available in three editions: ID.Buzz Life, ID.Buzz Style and ID.Buzz 1st Edition. Among them, ID.Buzz Life is the basic model, priced at 57,115 pounds; ID.Buzz Style is priced at 61,915 pounds (about 495,300 yuan), while ID.Buzz 1st Edition is slightly higher at 62,995 pounds (about 504,000 yuan) yuan).
The ID.Buzz is equipped with a 77kWh lithium-ion battery that provides 150kW (204 PS) of power to the rear motor, producing 310Nm of torque and a range of up to 258 miles (415 km) in WLTP . VW claims it takes about 30 minutes to charge the car from 5% to 80%. Foreign media said the car will start production later this year.
On March 9, 2022, Volkswagen launched the ID.Buzz in Germany. In May, pre-sale of ID.Buzz began in Germany and parts of Europe, including the five-seat ID.Buzz Pro variant and the ID.Buzz Cargo. Separately, the electric MPV (Multi-Purpose Passenger Vehicle) was originally scheduled to go on sale in the US in 2022, but has now been delayed to 2023.
ID.Buz rivals include the Citroen e-SpaceTourer, Mercedes EQV, Peugeot e-Traveller and Vauxhall Vivaro-e Life.
