We will be able to finish the Elden Ring in 30 hours

Game director Hidetaka Miyazaki spoke about the upcoming title from the masters of the souls-like genre FromSoftware, Elden Ring, in an interview with Famitsu magazine. He brought new information about the upcoming fantasy RPG, the most interesting of which is probably the length of the game itself. Miyazaki states that it will take players about 30 hours to complete the main storyline. In addition, players can expect much more freedom this time compared to previous games from FromSoftware.

Miyazaki also revealed that there will be a main center or city in the Elden Ring, from where the player will go to other locations. There will be a limited number of bosses this time, but there will be no fixed order in which they can be fought. As in the Dark Souls games, the player will get acquainted with the story and lore of the game through the descriptions of individual items. In the case of multiplayer, then do not expect the possibility of horseback riding.

FromSoftware also believes that it will adhere to the target release date for Elden Ring, and the team reduces the damage caused by the fall to motivate players to explore the game world. Among other things, an overall map of the world is available, but not the dungeons themselves.

The release of Elden Ring is currently scheduled for January 21, 2022, and will arrive on the platforms PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
