WhatsApp will finally implement reactions for quick replies

The team at the popular messenger WhatsApp is working on a new feature that many apps have long had, such as Instagram, Twitter, Signal, Slack, and Facebook Messenger.

We are talking about quick responses using "reactions". While WhatsApp has always been able to react to a message by quoting it and then sending emoji in response, the new “reactions” will greatly simplify the communication process for WhatsApp users.

Evidence of the imminent introduction of "reactions" in WhatsApp was found by the thematic resource WABetainfo. According to the source, this feature will soon be available in an update for beta testers.

There are no screenshots of "reactions" yet - this is too early a stage of development. But WABetainfo has already found a screenshot of an alert in the application code that will be seen by a user who has received a "reaction" in response to his message. The alert says:

You got a reaction: please update your version of WhatsApp to see reactions. "
