Windows 10 can now play console games via the cloud or from your home Xbox

Microsoft has announced an update for Windows 10 computers that will delight Xbox game console owners. The updated Xbox app for Windows has two important innovations: firstly, support for Xbox Game Pass games from the cloud, and secondly, it became possible to play games on a PC directly from the console using the Remote Play function remotely, from a home network or via the Internet.

Cloud gaming requires a paid Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. As noted by Microsoft, previously Game Pass users were able to access Xbox Cloud Gaming through the browser on their phones, tablets, and PCs, and now they can enjoy all of these capabilities directly from the Xbox app.

Xbox Remote Play is available on the new Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and any generation of Xbox One. It is noted that Xbox Remote Play has been activated for the first time for the next generation consoles - Series X and Series S.
