The voice assistant Samsung Bixby appears less and less in any news or statements of the company, but it has not been forgotten. The Korean giant reported that the assistant has become 35% faster in the new Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 smartphones.

The improvement is due to the transfer of voice processing from the server directly to the smartphone. The processing is carried out by the AI ​​block of the single-chip system.

Samsung hasn't said if it is implementing similar improvements on other Galaxy models, but technically there are no hurdles.

Transferring the processing of some of the tasks of the voice assistant from the server to the smartphone is not a novelty. Google Assistant has been able to do this since 2019, and recently Apple Siri has adopted such skills.
