Hide Likes feature comes into use on Facebook

The Facebook Hide Likes feature is useful if you don't want other users to see how people interact with your posts. Or if you want to clean up the user interface by hiding the number of reactions via posts from other people's accounts.

When enabled, the feature allows you to prevent other users from seeing the artists, restaurants, or pages you follow.

Hide Likes on Facebook

There are different steps to hide each type of likes: reactions and page likes, and you can always cancel the feature at any time. So far, it seems that you can only hide reactions through the Facebook mobile app. While hiding page likes needs the desktop version.

Hide reaction count

  • Open the Facebook app on your phone.

  • Click on the three lines at the top right of the main screen.

  • From the menu that appears, click on the Settings option.

  • On the next screen, tap on the Settings and Privacy option and then select the Settings option.

  • Under the Preferences section, tap on the Interaction preferences option.

  • On this screen, toggle the button next to the Posts from others option to hide likes and other reactions via posts from other accounts.

  • In order to hide likes and interactions across your private posts, so that other users cannot see them, toggle the button next to an option on your posts.

Hide page likes

  • Open a web browser on your computer and go to your personal account page.

  • On your home page, click on the More option.

  • From the menu that appears, select the Likes option.

  • On this page, click on the three dots on the right.

  • From the pop-up menu that appears, tap Edit Likes Privacy.

  • A list of categories appears, select a category that covers the page or pages you want to dislike.

  • From the options that appear to you, click on the only me option.

  • Repeat steps 4-5 for any other categories you want to make private, and then tap the Close option at the bottom.

And you can be sure that no one else will be able to tell if you like any Page in that category. However, you can also allow your friends to see your Facebook Page Likes without making it completely public.
