How to free up Google photos storage by deleting junk photos in bulk?

Google Photos service ends the free unlimited storage category as of June 2021. Photos and videos uploaded to your account before that date will not be counted within the storage space allocated to you.

So if you want to store more photos in your Google Photos account, you have to be mindful of what you store, the new Google tool will help you clear large and unnecessary photos and videos from the cloud.

Here's how to use it...

Open the Google Photos app on your Android or iOS device.

Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner and click on Account Storage.

Select the Manage Storage option.

You'll see a bunch of options, including large photos and videos, screenshots, and blurry photos.

You can click on any of them and select items to delete and free up your storage space.

This new tool also shows the storage space taken up by your Gmail and Google Drive accounts.

Notably, Google offers 15GB of free shared storage between these services, so you need to manage your email and files in order to get more photos in the cloud.
