Skype supports 100 participants in conference calls


 

Microsoft's owned Skype video calling platform has added support for calling up to 100 users at a time, and the company will allow users without an account to invite up to 99 people to a call using a single link.


Also, the platforms will allow users to run these calls for up to 24 hours, and Skype users will be able to see up to 99 other users in the new Large Network view that shows up to 49 people on screen simultaneously.


Earlier this month, Skype added support for noise cancellation to its desktop version, and in a blog post, the Skype team mentions that this was originally created for Microsoft Teams , and said, We are excited to announce the release of the latest background noise suppression feature in Skype for desktop application , this new feature was originally developed for Microsoft Teams , and it is designed to silence almost everything except your voice when meeting on Skype.


Last month, Skype for Android users introduced version 8.68 and with it the Background Blur feature in the app. Besides, Microsoft also updated the Windows , Linux, and Web versions of Skype with features like a new custom reaction picker and more.


For iOS users , the company has updated with a post extension and dark theme as well as improved performance.
