The fermentation microbial industry promotion agency in Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 30th that it has discovered functional microorganisms that produce plant growth promoting substances from fermented foods.
The Agency explained that among the 10 strains of useful microorganisms isolated from fermented foods, the'Lactobacillus paracasei strain isolated from kimchi confirmed the effect of purifying contaminated soil.
In particular, as a result of mixing mustard seeds and Lactobacillus paracasei strain for 2 weeks, it was confirmed that the mustard stems grew 10% and the roots 30%, respectively.
The research results will be published in the international journal Separation Science and Technology next month.
Hwang Sook-ju, head of Sunchang-gun, said, we have confirmed the possibility that the microorganisms can be used not only in the food sector but also in the agriculture and agriculture industry.
