Veritas, a secret Amazon cyber army to defend the company

Amazon has formed its own electronic army on Twitter, under the name Veritas, meaning the truth in Latin. Its mission is to defend the company and the reputation of its CEO, Jeff Bezos, revealed by Intercept.

Amazon had formed its electronic army in 2018, but it returned to the scene again, this week, in conjunction with the insistence of some of the company's employees to form a union of their own, amid several complaints related to working conditions, according to The Intercept.

The site revealed that Amazon has chosen its electronic army on the basis of their good sense of humor.

And the electronic army worked to defend the status of workers and the founder of Amazon, Bezos, as well as pursue major critics of the company, most notably US Senator Bernie Sanders, according to the site.

The Intercept obtained a copy of an internal Amazon document in which they were told to confront people on Twitter in a sharp way.

The secret document was about special training for some employees on ways to deal with tweeters on Twitter and social media.

To address false speculation and assertions in social media and online forums about the quality of the (clients') experience, we are creating a new social teamm that will be empowered to respond in a polite - yet sharp - manner to every lie.

The document said that the team of Amazon ambassadors will respond to all posts and comments from customers, influencers (including policymakers), and the media.

And the news about the Amazon electronic army has reappeared in conjunction with the increasing protests by the company's employees, which revolve mostly around the manner of dealing, and the severe pressures they are exposed to during their work.
